The Groove Guide
The best golf shoes of 2026
Fifteen men's golf shoes worth your money this year, from FootJoy's classic Premiere Series to spikeless shoes you can wear all day.

A good golf shoe does two jobs. It keeps your feet planted through the swing, and it stays comfortable for four hours of walking. The fifteen below do both, and most of them look good off the course too.
The list runs from our favourite down.
Our pick: FootJoy Premiere Series Marquis
FootJoy has made golf shoes longer than almost anyone, and the Premiere Series is where that shows. The Marquis looks like a classic golf shoe, but the fit underneath is modern. Wear it with tailored trousers and a knit. It’s the shoe on this list that will still look right in ten years.
The spikeless all-rounders
Most golfers today want one pair that works on the course and off it. The adidas Adizero ZG and the Adipower 26 are light and fast. FootJoy’s Pro/SL and Quantum are the safe choices: comfortable, quiet and easy to wear. Nike’s Victory Pro 4 keeps it simple.
The sneaker crowd
G/FORE turns golf shoes into something you’d wear to dinner. The Gallivan2r G Lock is a limited release, and the perforated MG4+ is the one for hot days. The Air Jordan 1 Low G from Eastside Golf brings a basketball icon to the course, and the ASICS Japan S gives you a retro court look.
When you need grip
If you swing hard or play in the wet, look at the PUMA Ignite Elevate 2 Tour and the waterproof Ashworth Reserve Classic Tour RS. Both hold you in place through the swing.
For wide feet and long days
The TRUE OG3 Pro has a wide toe box and a flat, zero-drop sole. The Cole Haan GrandPrø Crossover and the J.Lindeberg Vent 500 are best when golf is only part of the day.
How to choose
- Spiked or spikeless? Spikes grip better in the wet. Spikeless is lighter and works off the course too.
- Waterproofing matters more than you think. Dew soaks shoes before 9am, even in summer.
- Try them on in the afternoon, when your feet are at their largest.
- Match the shoe to your trousers. Classic shoes with tailoring, sneakers with chinos and joggers.
